About the role:

We Are Looking For a Senior Resource Development Geologist To Join The Team On Site Working On a Hybrid 21day Cycle Roster Comprising

• 8 days on site, 4 days off,
• 5 days (Mon – Fri) Perth Office, 4 days off
  
  

You will be part of a high skilled team delivering quality Mineral Resource Models including related studies for Mineral Resource Estimation and Mineral Reserve Calculation. Your geological input will be valued and used for future project generation/development, mining optimisations and mine design/approvals. This role provides technical input for Mineral Resource Estimation, geological interpretation, and quality assurance to support short- and long-term mine planning.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Plan, budget and coordinate resource definition and grade control drilling programs in collaboration with mine geology and planning teams.
• Maintain and manage the geological database to ensure accuracy and, data integrity.
• Implement and monitor QAQC programs to maintain complete and high quality data.
• Liaise with laboratory personnel and contractors to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of analytical results.
• Complete feasibility project works including: waste rock characterisation sampling, metallurgical test work, geotechnical drilling and other studies to assist formal mine design, assessment and permitting.
• Maintain high quality geological models using Leapfrog and make them accessible for engineering and other users for convert Mineral Resources to Mineral Reserves.
• Input into the generation, validation, and reporting of Mineral Resource Estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Leapfrog, Datamine).
• Provide technical geological input into mining decisions regarding design including related infrastructure such as waste rock dumps location and form.
• Provide technical input to Mineral Reserve Calculation/Reporting, ensuring compliance with JORC and company standards.
• Prepare documentation for Weekly, Quarterly and Annual reports.
• Ensure data flow between: exploration/res dev, grade control, and mining departments.
• Conduct model reconciliations between predicted and actual mined grades and tonnes.
• Deliver Mineral Resource handovers to mining team
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior geologists and field technicians.
• Maintain compliance with environmental and safety standards during all geological and field activities.
• Use technical drilling expertise to deliver infrastructure drilling in support of mining, processing and environmental teams
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Science (Geology Major) or equivalent.
• Current “C” Class Manual Driver’s Licence.
• WHS Statutory Supervisors certificate (Desired).
• Ten (10) years’ experience as a Geologist with at least three years in open pit or underground mining environments.
• Experience with 3D Software, Leapfrog, or equivalent 3D programs.
• Advanced understanding of MS Office Suite.
• Ability to think strategically and commercially, approach solutions creatively and consider organisation-wide impacts.
• Well-developed analytical, report and presentational skills.
• Exposure to Mine to Mill reconciliation practices.
