About The Role
The Logistics /Production Planner is responsible for:
Planning and allocating sales orders to loads for deliveries and planning production on machinery to meet these expectations.
Planning stock (MTS) to ensure we stay ahead of customer demands.
Communicating with production managers and sales staff when due dates or expectations aren’t going to be achieved with alternative proposals.
Daily machine schedules, labour allocations, and manufacturing reporting.
Challenges & Problem Solving
Maintaining customer requirements and responding with changes to support best-fit outcomes.
Maximising the operator throughput while balancing customer demands.
Schedules and plans
Decision-Making Authority
Authority to plan operators inside standard operating hours, Additional staff or weekends will need to be approved by the production managers.
Requirements
Key Qualification
Knowledge and Experience Required
Prior experience in production and transport planning.
Professional Skills
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
Competent written and verbal communications.
Interpersonal skills in dealing with customers of varying styles.

Sense of urgency
Ability to work under pressure
Able to efficiently solve problems from a range of functional areas.
Ability to negotiate suitable outcomes for various stakeholders

Slit coil stock availability
Unscheduled downtime in trailer & truck availability
Proportion of loads with backloads from long-distance destinations (includes coil)
