Job Details

We are seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join a growing litigation practice focused on insurance coverage and complex civil disputes.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of litigation from intake through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and substantive legal briefs
Conduct written discovery and manage document production (including e-discovery)
Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses, experts, and corporate representatives
Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy, case assessment, and client communications
Assist with insurance coverage analysis and related disputes (as applicable)

Qualifications:
3-6 years of civil litigation experience preferred
Insurance defense, insurance coverage, or commercial litigation experience strongly preferred
Experience with depositions and court appearances required or highly preferred
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Familiarity with Illinois state and federal court practice
Strong academic background and JD from an accredited law school

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience ($170K–$200K range DOE)
Performance-based bonus eligibility
