East Lake Elementary is a PreK-5 school located in Chattanooga, TN. We are a neighborhood community school with beautiful surroundings and a diverse population. We have a collaborative staff, supportive administration, and community involvement through our Parent Teacher Association.

We are looking for teachers who have a passion for working with children in an urban environment. Additionally, we are looking for teachers who recognize their unique giftings and talents and are willing to share them with our team!

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess effective instruction aligned to Tennessee state standards
• Design engaging lessons with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues and support staff
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students and families
• Create a well-managed, structured classroom environment
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflection

• Positive, student-focused educators with strong content and classroom management skills

• Committed to high expectations and academic achievement for all students
• Open to feedback, coaching, and continuous growth
• Experience in Title I or high-need school settings is a plus

• Bachelors degree required
• Valid Tennessee teaching license in Elementary Education (K-5) OR current enrollment in an accredited teacher preparation program
  
  

• Salary Scale based on education and experience – starting at $50,000.00
• Eligible positions may qualify for additional pay under the Differentiated Compensation Plan
