Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Manager at our establishment, you will play an integral role in the smooth operation of the restaurant. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the restaurant manager in driving operations and profitability. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team. You will be expected to maintain high standards in every aspect of restaurant management, from ensuring quality customer service and managing staff to overseeing inventory and implementing policies.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the restaurant manager in day-to-day operational activities and decision-making.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is delivered efficiently and consistently at all times.
  • Coordinate staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing training to current staff members.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to maintain stock.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Address customer complaints and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Participate actively in marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and patronage.
  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards to meet health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot issues to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports to identify patterns and improve sales strategies.
  • Facilitate communication between staff and management to maintain a cohesive work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a restaurant supervisory role.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills with an ability to multitask.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers.
  • Proficiency with restaurant management software and MS Office applications.
  • Proven ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts amicably.
  • Committed to delivering high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
