Job Description

As an HSE Advisor, you will be a vital part of our health, safety, and environmental initiatives, ensuring compliance with government regulations and promoting the safest possible work environment for our employees, contractors, and public stakeholders. Your role will involve developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance on safety matters. You will work closely with management and project teams to identify potential hazards and to mitigate risks while ensuring adherence to all relevant HSE legal and regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive approach to driving safety culture and continuous improvement. Your efforts will contribute significantly to reducing workplace incidents and promoting a culture of safety and awareness throughout our organization.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures organization-wide.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess HSE compliance and hazard identification.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into planning.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to promote HSE awareness among staff.
  • Lead incident investigations and facilitate lessons learned sessions afterwards.
  • Monitor HSE performance, analyzing data to report on key findings and trends.
  • Work closely with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepare and present HSE performance reports for senior management review quarterly.
  • Advise on HSE-related issues during projects and offer solutions for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of safety through communication and recognition initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest HSE laws, regulations, and best practices industry-wide.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and revamp procedures based on drill outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
  • At least three years of experience in an HSE advisory or similar role required.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and industry standards worldwide.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead and conduct thorough incident investigations effectively.
  • Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE accreditation preferred.
  • Proficiency in using HSE software tools and Microsoft Office applications.
