Job Description

The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring guest satisfaction in hospitality environments such as hotels, resorts, and lodgings. Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas daily as per hotel standards.
  • Restock room amenities such as toiletries, towels, and minibar offerings efficiently.
  • Ensure all assigned rooms are both clean and inspected by the deadline.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums and mops safely.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
  • Handle guest requests politely and efficiently, aiming to exceed their expectations.
  • Follow proper procedures and guidelines in handling cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to manage workload and schedule.
  • Log lost and found items appropriately and report them to the supervisor.
  • Assist with laundry services including washing, folding, and ironing as needed.
  • Adhere to established cleanliness standards to ensure guest satisfaction consistently.
  • Participate in scheduled training and staff meetings to enhance service quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred for this role.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles, ideally in hospitality.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team daily.
  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Physical stamina required to carry out repetitive tasks and lift heavy items.
  • Flexible to work across different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage positively with guests and colleagues.
