Virtual Medical Assistant Pharmacy Background Pharmacy Technician

Vital Virtuals is currently seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant with a Pharmacy background or Pharmacy Technician experience to support a U.S.-based healthcare practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Process prescription refills and medication prior authorizations
• Verify insurance coverage and pharmacy benefits
• Communicate with pharmacies regarding medication status and clarifications
• Assist patients with medication-related inquiries
• Coordinate with providers regarding prescription requests
• Review and update medication lists in EMR
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA guidelines
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician experience or strong pharmacy background (required)
• Experience supporting U.S. healthcare practices (preferred)
• Knowledge of prescription processing, formularies, and insurance verification
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
