Hi! Were Smartsourcing, and were looking for a Talent and Learning Coordinator to support the delivery of our people and capability strategy. In this role, youll manage the Learning Management System (LMS), coordinate structured onboarding, and help design role-specific training plans and learning pathways. Your work will ensure employees are well-equipped from day one, learning programs run smoothly, and capability development supports both individual growth and business success.

Role Overview

This role focuses on creating consistent, scalable, and SOP-aligned training content to support effective onboarding, capability development, and manager accountability across the business.

Key Responsibilities

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage and maintain the LMS, including onboarding pathways, compliance training, and role-based learning plans
  • Design and develop structured training plans and learning pathways for each role, aligned to approved Position Descriptions and SOPs
  • Convert SOPs, policies, and process documentation into clear training modules, manuals, and reference materials
  • Ensure all learning content is consistent, current, and aligned with Compass branding, values, and approved frameworks
  • Establish structured onboarding pathways that clearly define training stages, responsibilities, and expectations
  • Provide recruitment coordination and administrative support to HR, supporting hiring managers for approved roles
  • Support onboarding coordination, including check-ins with new starters at key milestones to understand progress, engagement, and training needs
  • Maintain accurate training records, completion tracking, and reporting through the LMS
  • Partner with HR and senior managers to translate operational requirements into structured learning content
  • Support the ongoing improvement of onboarding and training frameworks to drive consistency and accountability
  • Support offboarding processes, including coordinating exit checklists and capturing exit feedback for HR review

Principal Responsibilities

  • Build and manage end-to-end onboarding programs within the LMS
  • Create role-specific onboarding pathways
  • Create role-based training plans mapping required learning, SOPs, manuals, and competency expectations
  • Develop and maintain training manuals aligned to SOPs and operational processes
  • Structure training pathways into clear stages
  • Configure and maintain LMS content
  • Maintain version control and content review cycles
  • Coordinate compliance and mandatory training content
  • Prepare training audit frameworks and reports
  • Provide training data to support manager and senior accountability
  • Review training effectiveness using completion data and audit outcomes
  • Recommend continuous improvements to training structures and content
  • Support standardisation of onboarding and training practices across the business

COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures
  • Ensure learning content aligns with WHS, HR, and compliance requirements
  • Take reasonable care for own health and safety and that of others
  • Report all incidents, near misses, and identified hazards
  • Follow all policies, processes, and relevant legislation

DECISION MAKING / AUTHORITY

  • Manage day-to-day LMS administration
  • Maintain onboarding pathways and learning content
  • Design and update training plans, pathways, and materials within approved frameworks
  • Recommend improvements to training structures and audit approaches
  • Escalate material risks, content gaps, or system issues to the HR Manager

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or related field
  • Experience managing LMS platforms and structured onboarding programs
  • Experience developing role-based training plans and SOP-aligned learning materials
  • Strong written communication and instructional design skills Proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva
  • High attention to detail and strong document control discipline
  • Ability to work independently in an offshore environment
  • Structured, process-driven, and collaborative working style
