Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring activities within the company premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and company property. The role provides visible security presence, promptly responds to incidents, delivers effective support to operational departments and customers and upholds NUSTAR’s service and safety standards while maintaining a guest-focused approach.
  • Delivery of Exceptional Customer Service: Ensure that they deliver exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders at all work locations, in accordance with the company vision, mission and values.
  • Work with Colleagues and Customers: Maintain an effective relationship with staff and customers within the work environment by presenting a professional image and dealing with incidents in a discreet and confidential manner appropriate to the situation.
  • Manage Own Performance: Effectively manage and maintain own quality of work performance, conduct completing all tasks as directed, contribute to the effective functioning of the Team, conduct duty in an honest and open manner maintaining a high level of integrity in their performance at all times.
  • Work in a Socially Diverse Environment: Recognize cultural sensitivity awareness whilst maintaining effective standards of written and verbal communication with team members and patrons in the workplace.
  • Maintain Safety of Premises and Personnel: Operate basic security equipment including but not limited to radios to support and complete their functions.
  • Maintain Safety of Premises and Personnel: Effectively participate in the management of potential safety hazards including fire alarms, emergency situations, and bomb threats and building evacuation.
  • Deal with Conflict Situations: Maintain and apply skills to deal with conflict situations that occur within the work environment in an appropriate manner and as per company policies.
  • Maintain the Security of Premises, Property and Personnel: Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff and customers by performing roving and static security functions, and take proactive actions to prevent crimes and responds to all kinds of emergencies and alarms.
  • Control Crowds: Monitor the access/exit of persons from premises when assigned, provide support to others when directed, and monitor and manage crowd levels within the work environment.
  • Manage Intoxicated Persons: Maintain and apply skills to deal with the management of intoxicated persons within the work environment in an appropriate manner and in accordance with company policy.
  • Escort and Carry Valuables: Escort and/or carry valuables such as but not limited to assigned or directed. Valuables may include the transportation of chips and cash as well as documentation.
  • Perform Other Duties as Directed.

Qualifications

  • Verbal English and/or Cantonese, Mandarin an advantage.
  • Demonstrated teamwork.

  • Tertiary Level.
