Overview Of The Role
The Sales Team Leader (Non-Food and Food Ingredients) is responsible for leading and supporting a team of sales representatives to ensure sales targets are achieved or exceeded. This role involves coaching the team, monitoring performance, and helping execute effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Supervise and guide a team of sales representatives.
Set clear and achievable sales targets.
Monitor performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
Training and Development
Conduct training sessions to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
Identify areas for improvement and support professional growth.
Encourage continuous learning within the team.
Sales Strategy Execution
Support the development and implementation of sales plans.
Ensure the team follows established sales processes and strategies.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to align team goals with company objectives.
Performance Monitoring
Track sales KPIs and overall team performance.
Analyze sales data to identify trends and improvement areas.
Prepare and present performance reports to management.
Customer Relationship Management
Support the team in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Sales Operations
Oversee daily sales activities and operations.
Manage sales territories and allocate resources effectively.
Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to support sales efforts.
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and results.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Manage scheduling, reporting, and documentation tasks.
Motivation and Incentives
Motivate the team to meet and exceed targets.
Implement incentive and recognition programs.
Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred).
At least 3 years of sales experience, including 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in CRM systems and sales tools.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Willing to travel as needed.
