JOB SUMMARY:

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) ensures operational excellence by serving as the process authority for assigned functions, with a central focus on training governance, quality management, and continuous improvement. The SME is accountable for maintaining and updating training frameworks and materials, ensuring alignment with ISO standards, process changes, and organizational requirements. While not primarily responsible for training delivery, the SME may be called upon to facilitate sessions when specialized expertise is required.

This role oversees document control, process standardization, and quality monitoring, including calibration of QA practices, incident management, and readiness for audits. The SME drives improvements through digitization, automation, and project management, ensuring that training and quality systems remain robust, compliant, and effective. Working closely with Managers, Operations Leaders, Trainers, Quality Assurance teams, Asset Coordinators, and the Xerox Process team, the SME provides governance, technical expertise, and operational support to embed quality and consistency across processes.

The position reports directly to the L1 Operations Manager.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Subject Matter Expert

  • Provide specialized knowledge and guidance on assigned processes.
  • Act as a resource for operational teams, offering technical coaching and support on complex issues.
  • Facilitate training sessions when specialized process expertise is required.
  • Support process integrity by ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Provide specialized system expertise and guidance on integrations, ensuring smooth adoption and usage.

Process Governance

  • Contribute to the maintenance and accuracy of process documentation.
  • Support system changes, production readiness, and incident resolution in collaboration with operational teams.
  • Partner with Process Analysts to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Promote process standardization across teams to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Act as a system analyst to evaluate impacts of changes and support integration projects.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, IT or equivalent. Master’s degree in Business Administration a plus.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years operational experience in data analysis/management and the delivery of operations through use of technology solutions including the use of Enterprise Resource Planning solutions.
  • Experience with transactional operations execution to defined service level agreements and quality
  • Knowledge and experience in finance, business and economics. The individual will be involved in client/stakeholder interactions.
  • Background with asset management and billing processes
  • Sound administrative skills.
