Job Responsibilities

• The Plant Attendant is responsible for the efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of mechanical and utility systems within the property. This includes boilers, chillers, pumps, HVAC systems, generators, and other plant equipment essential to building operations. The role requires a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and minimal service disruptions to ensure a comfortable and functional environment for guests and staff.
• Operate and monitor plant systems such as HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, and generators.
• Perform routine checks, inspections, and maintenance of plant equipment.
• Respond promptly to alarms, equipment failures, and operational issues.
• Maintain accurate records of system readings, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues related to plant operations.
• Coordinate with other departments for planned shutdowns or maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in plant rooms and mechanical areas.
• Support energy-saving and efficiency initiatives.
  
  

• Registered Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Prior experience in an industrial environment or Hospitality industry is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments (heat, noise, lifting, shifting work schedules, etc.).
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical and utility systems (chillers, pumps, boilers, etc.).
• Basic understanding of electrical control systems.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical diagrams and analyze the gathered data.
• Time management and basic reporting skills.
