Overview

The Outbound Representatives will be responsible for contacting Australian secondary schools by telephone to collect accurate information on the mathematics calculators currently book listed for student use. The role supports market research and educational planning by ensuring up-to-date, reliable data is gathered directly from schools. The key segment of information we need is to confirm which reseller/retailer the school purchases their calculators. The script will be centred around attaining this information as absolute priority.

Campaign Scope

Outbound telemarketing research campaign focused solely on information gathering (no sales activity).

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound telephone calls to secondary schools across Australia from a warm database
  • Identify and speak with appropriate school contacts e.g. Head of Mathematics, Mathematics coordinators, administration staff, finance officers (every school is slightly different)
  • Professionally introduce the purpose of the call and represent the business in a clear and courteous manner and reach conclusion concisely
  • Collect and record information
  • Accurately input data into provided systems or spreadsheets
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of all collected information
  • Adhere to calling scripts, compliance requirements, and confidentiality standards
  • Meet agreed productivity and data-quality targets


Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 1 year of call center experience. Previous telemarketing or research experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, preferably with AU dialing background
  • Strong computer skills, including email and spreadsheet use
  • Clear, confident, and professional phone manner
  • Ability to engage with educators and school administrative staff
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data collection


Knowledge & Competencies

  • Understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, the Australian secondary education environment
  • Ability to follow structured scripts while maintaining natural conversation
  • Time management skills and ability to work independently
