Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to add additional depth to our growing Analyst team in a variety of areas - from Visualization and Storytelling to SQL, Data Modeling, and Data Warehousing. This role will work in close partnership with leadership, product management, operations, finance, and other technical teams to find opportunities to improve and expand our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting: Prepare clear reports and presentations to communicate findings to senior team members.
  • SQL Data Pulls: Write SQL queries to join datasets and apply business logic to deliver actionable data for cross-functional teams.
  • Data Visualization: Design and develop key metrics, reports, and dashboards to drive insights and business decisions to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Analyze: Conduct daily analysis and proactively identify key business insights to assist departmental decision making.
  • Analyze Business Challenges: Identify and resolve issues, design new processes and improve existing ones.
  • Communication: Partner with leadership and collaborate with software engineers to implement data architecture and design, to support complex analysis.
  • Document Development: Create and maintain process flows, best practices, and task execution documents.


Day to Day Tasks:

  • Daily review and monitoring of KPIs across the business, identifying red flags and communicating to relevant teams
  • Audience list pulls for Marketing Team using custom SQL queries
  • Creating and managing JIRA tickets for technical needs
  • Maintaining and adding features to existing Power BI dashboards, creating new dashboards and reports
  • Working with various business units to forecast future performance and analyze trends


Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-2 years in a junior analyst role
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in SQL, and experience with PowerBI or similar type of data visualization tool. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think analytically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships in an English-speaking environment
  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
