Position Overview
The Instructional Designer based in Cebu supports the creation of high‑quality, scalable learning content for both internal teams and external customers across global regions. This role transforms complex processes, product documentation, and SME insights into structured onboarding, eLearning modules, and multimedia learning solutions.
As part of VenturEd’s global enablement expansion, this individual will support workforce development in Cebu while contributing to cross‑regional learning initiatives, including UK‑focused enablement, global LMS course development, and customer‑facing learning programs.
Position Description
Instructional Design & Content Development
- Design and build engaging learning content including eLearning modules, videos, assessments, course scripts, guides, microlearning, and blended learning assets.
- Translate operational procedures, SME expertise, and product documentation into instructionally sound training programs.
- Develop foundational onboarding for Cebu’s Support, Services, Quality, and Success teams.
- Support global enablement initiatives such as UK onboarding and product training.
LMS Course Build & Learning Experience Management
- Build and publish courses within an LMS (Absorb or similar) including modules, learning paths, certifications, and assessments.
- Upload and test SCORM/xAPI content.
- Collaborate with LMS administrators on configuration, version control, and learner experience.
- Ensure consistent course flow, structure, and user experience across global teams.
(Absorb experience is not required, but knowledge of LMS platforms is preferred, and familiarity with Absorb is a plus.)
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Cebu SMEs, Training & Quality leadership, Team Managers, and global partners to gather content and validate accuracy.
- Participate in structured calibration and review cycles consistent with Cebu’s quality-driven culture.
- Partner with global L&D, operations, and product teams to support training for multiple regions.
Quality Assurance & Evaluation
- Ensure training materials reflect Cebu’s operational processes, quality standards, and coaching culture.
- Maintain accurate documentation aligned with product, system, and workflow changes.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, learner feedback, and operational KPIs.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend enhancements to content structure, delivery, and learner experience.
- Contribute to design templates, standards, and content libraries.
- Stay informed on instructional design best practices and multimedia trends.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required (Instructional Design, Education, Communications, Psychology, or related fields).
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
Experience
- 3–5+ years of instructional design or eLearning development experience.
- Experience working with fast‑paced, quality‑driven operations (BPO, customer support, SaaS, etc.).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end content creation.
- Experience collaborating with global teams preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, Snagit, or equivalent.
- LMS experience preferred (Absorb, Moodle, LearnUpon, Docebo, etc.).
- Absorb experience is a plus, not required.
- Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI, multimedia tools, and content management systems (SharePoint/Confluence).
- Basic HTML/CSS is a bonus.
Soft Skills (Cebu-Aligned)
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation habits.
- Comfortable working with SMEs and reviewing content with Cebu Training & Quality teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across US/UK/IN/PH.
- Professionalism, adaptability, and strong ownership of deliverables.
