Hi! Were Smartsourcing, and were looking for a full-time, onsite General Accountant whos comfortable owning the books during the night shift and keeping financial data clean, current, and reliable.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly reliable General Accountant to support our transition from cash-based to accrual accounting and to manage daily bookkeeping and billing operations. This is a full-time, in-house role responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial records and ensuring confidence in the integrity of our accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Transition and maintain company books from cash-based to accrual accounting
• Perform daily bookkeeping and journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
• Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including deferred payments and installment billing
• Manage billing operations across:
• Shopify (credit card orders)
• Stripe (B2B billing, installment plans, net terms up to 90 days)
• Ensure books are fully caught up weekly, with no backlog
• Reconcile transactions and audit weekly activity for accuracy
• Maintain organized and scalable accounting frameworks and processes
• Provide regular updates and confidently explain financial activity during weekly check-ins
• Collaborate with leadership via Slack and email as needed

About You Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Proven experience with accrual accounting
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
• Familiarity with Shopify and order-flow–based businesses
• Solid understanding of:
• Accounts receivable
• Deferred revenue and payables
• Transaction-based accounting flows
• Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
• Experience with Excel and basic data analysis
• Experience supporting B2B companies
• Exposure to Stripe or similar billing platforms
