Hi! We're Smartsourcing, and we're looking for an FP&A Analyst to support our finance team with forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic planning. In this role, you'll provide forward-looking financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and deliver decision-making support—helping guide business performance, improve financial visibility, and enable informed commercial decisions across the organization.

Role Overview

The FP&A Analyst is responsible for delivering financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical support to help drive informed business decisions. The role partners with key stakeholders to provide financial insights, monitor performance, identify trends and risks, and support strategic initiatives that contribute to the organization's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting 

• Support and manage budget and forecast cycles (quarterly and annual)
• Develop and maintain driver-based financial models
• Prepare scenario and sensitivity analysis to support key assumptions
• Identify risks and opportunities against budget and forecast
• Coordinate stakeholder inputs and ensure adherence to timelines
• Produce high-quality budget packs with clear commentary 
  
  

Reporting & Analysis 

• Deliver monthly management reporting with insightful variance analysis
• Perform cohort, WIP, and commission model analysis
• Maintain and improve reporting processes, automation, and BI dashboards
• Validate board metrics and ensure data accuracy across systems
  
  

Commercial Finance – Fleet Performance 

• Analyse key fleet metrics including utilisation, VOR, and revenue per vehicle
• Support fleet pricing (vehicle rates) and budget modelling
• Assess full lifecycle profitability (acquisition to disposal)
• Provide commercial insights to optimise fleet performance
  
  

Business Partnering 

• Act as a trusted finance partner to operational teams
• Support decision-making through financial modelling and analysis
• Facilitate planning discussions and challenge assumptions constructively
  
  

Systems & Process Improvement 

• Support implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics (ERP)
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting
• Enhance data quality, automation, and use of BI tools
  
  

Qualifications:

• Strong accounting and compliance knowledge
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Experience with Power BI or similar tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
