Job Purpose

• Responsible for overseeing and strengthening physical security operations to safeguard employees, visitors, contractors, and company assets.
• Ensures effective implementation of security systems, surveillance, access control, and incident response measures, creating a safe, compliant, and resilient workplace environment.
• Supports operational continuity by proactively managing security risks and ensuring employees are secure and wellprotected facility, contributing to an excellent overall employee experience.
  
  

Main Responsibilities

• Security Systems Maintenance & Reliability
• Schedule and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance of all security and emergency systems, including:
• Door access control systems
• CCTV and surveillance systems
• Emergency lighting o Fire extinguishers and fire exit doors
• Intrusion detection and alarm systems
• Other security and life-safety devices
• Ensure annual Preventive Maintenance Services (PMS) are completed in accordance with vendor contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify:
• Integrity of exit points and critical areas
• Availability of security supplies
• Clear emergency routes and obstruction-free access
• Compliance with safety and security standards
• Identify system vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to strengthen facility resilience.
• Manage and oversee repair and maintenance activities of security systems in collaboration with FM, ensuring quality job and quick resolution of issues.
• Supervise technical trades (on security systems) ensuring completion of all service requests/concerns/issues with quality and in a timely manner
• Security Operations & Monitoring Surveillance Monitoring
• Monitor CCTV systems and surveillance platforms to detect suspicious activities, policy violations, or potential security breaches.
• Escalate unusual observations in accordance with incident response procedures. Access Control Management
• Oversee door access system administration, including:
• Enrollment, updating, and deactivation of access credentials
• Periodic access rights review
• Lost card or compromised credential handling
• Assist in ID printing and issuance for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Ensure only authorized personnel access restricted or critical areas.
• Incident Response & Emergency Preparedness
• Act as primary security responder for incidents such as:
• Unauthorized access
• Theft or asset loss
• Safety violations
• Emergency situations
• Coordinate with QHSE Department and Emergency Response Team (ERT) for emergency drills, evacuations, and crisis management.
• Document and investigate security incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Notify appropriate authorities when required.
• Patrol & Risk Prevention
• Conduct regular and documented patrols of assigned areas to:
• Deter unauthorized activity
• Inspect critical and high-risk zones
• Verify exit point integrity
• Identify hazards or suspicious conditions
• Ensure patrol logs are properly recorded for audit readiness.
• Contractor & Vendor Management
• Supervise contracted security personnel and ensure adherence to:
• Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Company policies
• Safety and security protocols
• Manage onboarding and orientation of security contractors.
• Conduct performance evaluations of security service providers.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate invoice validation and timely payment.
• Ensure coverage and availability of security staff during all shifts.
• Project & Site Security Support
• Provide security oversight during:
• Renovation works
• Fit-out projects
• Equipment installation
• Ensure contractors comply with work permit requirements and access controls.
• Secure materials, tools, and company assets during project execution.
• Inventory & Asset Control
• Maintain inventory of security-related supplies and assets, including:
• Access cards / IDs
• Keys
• Radios
• Emergency devices
• Ensure sufficient stock levels and controlled issuance.
• Documentation, Reporting & Compliance
• Maintain updated and accurate records, including:
• Security incident reports
• Visitor and delivery logs
• ID issuance records
• Access card tracking
• Key and locker assignments
• Parking validation records
• Asset return logs
• Annual PMS records
• Ensure security dashboards are updated monthly for management reporting.
• Support ISO audits and internal compliance checks.
• Budget & Procurement Support
• Assist in preparation of quotations and tender documents for security contracts.
• Monitor security-related expenditures against approved budgets.
• Recommend cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (Security Officer track)
• Apprenticeship/Vocational Training in Smart Office tools
• Professional Certification as an OSH Practitioner
• Preferably with Security Management Experience
• At least 1 year of experience in Administrative or Facilities-related work
• Leadership experience (direct supervision preferred)
• Hands-on experience with CCTV & Door Access Systems (Hikvision)
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willing to work night shifts or extend work hours when required
