Job Responsibilities

  • Under the general guidance and supervision of the Senior Event Sales Manager, and within the limits of established Corporate/Sales policies and procedures, responsible for generating revenue through the sale of event spaces, catering services, and related amenities. Builds and maintains relationships with clients, coordinates event logistics, and ensures exceptional service delivery to exceed client expectations. Promotes the desired work culture around the core values of the company.
  • Identifies prospects for new business opportunities by actively seeking out potential clients for events, meetings, conferences, weddings, and other functions.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding coordinators, and other stakeholders to generate repeat business and referrals.
  • Conducts site tours of event spaces and facilities, highlighting features, amenities, and capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Prepares and presents proposals, contracts, and pricing quotes tailored to the specific needs and budgets of clients.
  • Collaborates with the Food & Beverage teams to create customized menus and beverage packages for events, ensuring alignment with client preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Coordinates event logistics, including room setup, audiovisual equipment, décor, entertainment, transportation, and accommodations, in collaboration with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process, addressing inquiries, providing updates, and managing expectations to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Conducts post-event evaluations and gathers feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Attends industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the hotels event services and expand professional connections.
  • Shows the function room/s and F&B outlets to prospective corporate clients and private individuals upon request.
  • Entertains/answers phone-in inquiries from prospective clients about the hotel’s banquet and F&B outlets’ services and facilities .
  • Spot–checks actual event functions of clients to ensure that all requirements are served and that any additional requests or problems encountered are immediately attended to.
  • Investigates client’s complaints on food & beverage served, banquet facilities or service and informs the department concerned for remedial action; Elevates major problems/complaints to superior/s for appropriate action.
  • Notes down client’s comments or suggestions and endorses it to superior/s for appropriate action.
  • Strives to achieve her target production/room sales assigned by superior/s.
  • Recommends to superior/s specific action plans and sales strategies to increase room bookings.
  • Complies with all established hotel policies and procedures on banquet function rooms, outlets, and room bookings. Inform clients of hotel policies on booking requirements (i.e., Reservation fee, confirmation letter, option date, etc.) to avoid future problems.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:
    • Demonstrates Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensures all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines.
    • Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
    • Be familiar with property safety, first aid, and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
    • Initiates action to correct a hazardous situation and notifies superiors of potential dangers.
    • L ogs security incidents and accidents by hotel requirements.
Qualifications

  • Work Experience – One (1) year of related work experience in the hotel industry.
  • Educational Background - Graduate of Business Course or any four-year business-related course.
  • Computer Literacy – MS Office, Internet.
  • Special Skills/Licenses/Area of Expertise - Business Management, Sales & Marketing.
  • Core Competencies - Planning and organizing skills, strong interpersonal skills, customer and employee-focused, results-oriented and problem-solving.
  • Work Experience - At least three (3) years of related work experience in the hotel industry.
  • Educational Background - Graduate of Business or Hospitality Management Course
