Engineering Assistant Manager

Job Description

The Engineering Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily plant engineering operations, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all plant utility systems and equipment. The role involves supervising engineers and technicians, managing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards to support smooth and uninterrupted plant production.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and standardize operations of refrigeration, compressed air, power, steam, and other utility systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades of plant equipment.
• Ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Recommend updates, additions, and improvements to PM work orders and schedules.
• Review and evaluate daily monitoring activities of Engineering Technicians.
• Plan and schedule work orders and assignments for direct reports.
• Ensure plant compliance with internal and external auditors, including structural, wastewater, fire protection, environmental, health, and safety bodies.
• Maintain availability of critical utilities and resources required for plant operations.
• Lead pre-bid and bid evaluations; coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate, audit, and approve third-party service activities.
• Oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory control of spare parts and critical components.
  
  
  

• Bachelors degree in any Engineering field.
• Preferably a Licensed Engineer.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting in a similar role.
• Strong background in:
• Refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation systems
• Electrical power, water, steam, and compressed air systems
• Operation and maintenance of rotating equipment
  
• Experience in Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM).
• Strong communication skills and high stress tolerance.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to implement process improvements.
• Willing to work onsite in Danao, Cebu.
• MUST BE FROM Food & Beverage Manufacturing/FMCG/Industrial Engineering/Plant Maintenance
