Purpose:
Responsible for influencing business planning and overall commercial structures to minimize the burden of taxation on profits and cash flows. Implements statutory tax requirements. Prepares, analyzes and maintains tax reports and other related material. May be involved in tax planning.
Role operationalizes tax processes and provides subject matter expertise, analytical and project support to the tax function inside the small to mid-size geography supported.
Scope:
Individual contributor role, typically at a career level.
Works as part of a team of functional colleagues in the region and is accountable for monitoring and carrying out tax processes that support business units and/or regions/countries operating in the relevant geography (United States, Canada, Europe).
The job holder works in close collaboration with other tax colleagues (potentially not in the same geography), business units and other corporate functions.

Requires in-depth knowledge and experience
Decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan
Generally domestic scope/accountability
Job Responsibilities:
Lead EMEA’s tax compliance efforts to ensure compliance of the various Xerox EMEA entities with the applicable tax laws and regulations.
Review tax computations and reconciliations prepared by Tax Specialists for accuracy.
Manage tax audits and inquiries, liaising with tax auditors and/or tax consultants.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
Prepare reports and presentations for management on tax matters and compliance status.
Supervise specific projects as needed - tax planning, complex tax returns, process improvements, etc.
Train, develop and mentor tax specialists and share knowledge with team members.
Support cross-functional teams on tax implications of contracts, projects, and transactions.
Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accountancy is required
CPA license strongly preferred.
Must have at least 3 years of experience in corporate taxation or tax compliance.
Tax compliance experience from the Big Four Audit Firms, is an advantage.
Knowledge and experience in taxation is required.
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to deliver according to established/committed deadlines.
Exposed to conducting financial reviews and dealing with people across all levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and research skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
