Job Responsibilities

• To inspect, clean, maintain, and repair all commercial kitchen equipment, including refrigeration units, ovens, stoves, and dishwashers.
• To diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in kitchen appliances and machinery.
• To ensure proper functioning of ventilation and exhaust systems in the kitchen.
• To cooperate closely with the kitchen, banquet, and F&B departments to ensure smooth operations during service hours and special events.
• To assist in setting up and maintaining kitchen equipment for banquets, functions, and events as required.
• To carry out preventive maintenance tasks on all kitchen machinery and appliances.
• To replace faulty or worn-out parts such as seals, gaskets, belts, and electrical components as needed.
• To maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections of kitchen equipment.
• To ensure all work complies with safety and health regulations specific to commercial kitchens.
• To maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and equipment after completion of maintenance tasks.
• To assist with inventory control and report on spare parts and equipment needs.
• To support kitchen staff by promptly responding to equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• To perform duties outside the scope of this role in case of emergency or as directed by the Chief Engineer.
  
  

• Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of refrigeration, cooking appliances, and ventilation systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in kitchen machinery.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Familiarity with safety standards and health regulations in commercial kitchens.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
• Relevant technical certification or trade license preferred.
