The Credit Officer performs credit evaluation and risk assessment of corporate and commercial borrowers and prepares comprehensive credit proposals in compliance with the Bank’s credit policies and standards, within the prescribed turn-around time.
Major Responsibilities
Credit Evaluation and Risk Analysis - Performs credit evaluation and risk analysis and prepares the credit proposal of the assigned account, which includes but is not limited to the following:
Conducts client interview or client call and/or site visits, and coordinates with the client relationship management counterpart on the proposed credit facility and loan package.
Performs financial analysis and projections based on the client’s historical financial data, industry analysis, benchmarking, trade checking with client’s suppliers and customers, and verification with depository bank and creditors.
Endorses the credit risk rating or credit score of the account, as applicable.
Prepares risk analysis and overall recommendation
Presents credit proposal to the required approving committee or body following the tiered approving authority limits.
Credit Monitoring
Performs periodic review of assigned accounts, line renewals and term loan review, as required by the Bank’s approved credit policies and procedures.
Assists the client relationship management counterpart in loan monitoring with regard to checking of compliance to loan covenants, and detection of weaknesses and loan deterioration.
Client Engagement – Conducts client visits, meetings and/or calls with the Relationship Management Group (RMG) counterpart.
Remedial Management – Assists the client relationship management counterpart in the preparation of restructuring proposals and in loan work out of assigned accounts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree of any Business, Economics, Accountancy, or Finance Course
Preferably with minimum of 1 year experience in Credit Evaluation and Analysis
Knowledge in 5C’s of Credit: Principles and Standards, Corporate Banking Products and Services, Credit Policies and Procedures, Corporate Banking Products and Services, Credit Policies and Procedures, Relevant Regulations related to Lending, Risk Management Principles
