Job Responsibilities

• To carry out repairs to existing furniture, doors and windows.
• To fabricate new furniture.
• To repair door locks.
• To carry out repairs to upholstery of the hotel furniture.
• To perform minor repairs on floor and wall carpets.
• To assist in the preparation of decorations for functions
• To perform furniture polishing work.
• To assist in decoration work for functions.
• To be thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.
• To observe cleanliness at the place of work and on the job after completion of work.
• To ensure cleanliness of appearance and uniform, particularly when working in a guests areas.
• To perform duties outside the scope of his trade in case of emergency so called upon.
  
  

• At least High School graduate or Technical/Vocational Certificate in Carpentry, Masonry, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial facility
• Skilled in carpentry, woodworking, masonry, tiling, painting, drywall installation/repair, and minor civil works
• Ability to read basic construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of safety procedures, tools, materials, and methods used in construction and repair works
• Physically fit, able to work at heights and lift heavy materials
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays as needed
• A positive attitude, reliability, and strong attention to detail
• Experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting is an advantage
