As a Leave Manager in the Leave Management team, you will coordinate leave of absence and return-from-leave activities for overtime-eligible employees to ensure accurate processing, timely issue resolution, and a strong employee experience. You will serve as a liaison across partners and the employee on leave, manage escalations, and complete tasks such as time reconciliation and system updates to support correct pay and entitlement tracking.

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinate leave of absence and return-from-leave activities by partnering with internal teams and third-party leave administrators.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees on leave and key partners to ensure timely, accurate processing and communication.
  • Manage and research escalations related to leave of absence and drive issues through to resolution.
  • Reconcile time and update pay, time, and scheduling systems to ensure employees are paid correctly.
  • Correct entitlement and adherence records to avoid scorecard impact.
  • Support timecard entry requirements to ensure pay accuracy.
  • Consult with payroll on overpayments and underpayments and coordinate corrections.
  • Track intermittent leave usage to ensure utilization meets policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate leave trends and usage patterns to leadership through clear reporting.
  • Recommend process improvements and escalate critical trends and risks to leadership promptly.
  • Reinforce policies and procedures and partner with stakeholders to resolve issues impacting employees and internal clients.

  • Demonstrate strong technology, reporting, reconciliation, and quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with business applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, scheduling systems, SharePoint, and human capital management systems.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

  • Demonstrate subject matter knowledge across multiple leave types, such as short-term disability, long-term disability, family and medical leave, military leave, caregiver leave, and personal leave.
  • Demonstrate experience coordinating intermittent leave usage tracking and reporting.
  • Demonstrate experience partnering with payroll and leave administration providers to resolve pay and leave-related issues.

Tenure
