The difference you’ll make

At Bridgit, our backend engineers are empowered to take full ownership of their solutions—from initial design and technical scoping through to coding, deployment, testing, and documentation. Youll have the opportunity to shape the future of our products by influencing system architecture and helping to define technical requirements for new features.

Our tech stack includes Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS for building secure, maintainable RESTful APIs, and we rely on PostgreSQL with Sequelize for robust, scalable data storage. If youre excited by the idea of building high-impact systems that are clean, secure, and well-documented, we want to hear from you.

We value clear communication and collaboration across teams—engineering, product, and operations—so youll be expected to share progress, flag blockers, and help prioritize work in a transparent and productive way. What you’ll do:

Backend Engineering Ownership

• Day to day management of everything Bridgit’s backend.
• Provide guidance and hands-on solutions to the engineering landscape
• Apply proven backend know-how and lean into new AI tools as we grow.
  
  

Infrastructure Management

• Spearhead best in class AWS Infrastructure management.
• Own the CDK Infrastructure scripting.
• Lead new Infra/Security initiatives.
  
  

Lead and grow the function

• Scale-Up environment where you can really be the difference.
• Collaborate with our onshore and offshore team in Php.
• Running in continuous deployment, we move at hyper-pace.
  
  

What Were Looking For:

• 5 years + working as a backend developer.
• 2 years + experience with Node.js.
• Commercial experience with Node.JS, TypeScript and AWS Infrastructure
• Positive attitude to the day to day with good interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail in documentation and ticket descriptions
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with AWS S3, RDS, ECS and Lambda.
• Outstanding communication skills.
