Job Summary

The Assistant Engineering Manager oversees day-to-day plant engineering operations, ensuring uninterrupted support to production through effective supervision, system analysis, and preventive maintenance across key utilities such as refrigeration, compressed air, power, steam, and other rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily plant engineering activities, ensuring optimal function of all utility systems.
• Lead the execution of preventive maintenance (PM) activities and ensure timely and accurate completion according to plan.
• Review and recommend updates to PM work orders, schedules, and procedures.
• Supervise and evaluate Engineering Technicians daily monitoring outputs.
• Support troubleshooting efforts and implement system improvements or upgrades as needed.
• Secure availability of critical utilities and ensure full compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety audits.
• Manage project-related pre-bid and bid evaluations; coordinate with suppliers and contractors; and oversee the assessment of third-party works.
• Oversee spare parts procurement and inventory control.
• Plan and schedule work orders and assignments for direct reports.
  
  
  

• Bachelors degree in any Engineering field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar capacity.
• Preferably a Licensed Engineer.
• Strong background in refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, electrical power, water, steam, compressed air systems, and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Experience in Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead in a high-pressure environment.
• Demonstrated leadership capability to recommend and implement process improvements.
• Willing to be assigned on-site in Danao, Cebu.
• Candidates residing in Danao or nearby municipalities are preferred.
