The Quality Assurance Specialist In-Line is experienced and highly analytical. They uphold the company’s safety regulations and verify the production process to ensure that all products meet quality standards.
The Quality Assurance Specialist In-Line performs regular product evaluations, records inspection results, and works on technical documents to ensure timely recommendations, improvements, and relevant feedback for the production process. They identify issues in products or services and demonstrate great attention to detail along with excellent technical analysis skills.
Responsibilities
QMS System / Documentation
Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports.
Read manuals, plans, and specifications to understand product and service requirements.
Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
Food Safety and Quality
Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors.
Make recommendations for improvement.
Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
Educate the production team on quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
Supervise the production process.
Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
Participate in trials and other special projects related to process improvement under the Toller.
Training and Development
Ensure training participation under the corresponding departments of the J&F Team.
Facilitate and engage in training sessions for existing employees as refresher courses and food safety/quality awareness programs.
Monthly Performance
Provide monthly reports for GMP Audit Ratings, Pest Control, Environmental Monitoring Program, Van Sanitation Audit, Process Validation, and Monthly Highlights regarding verification results for the Toller Plant.
Report all immediate operational quality concerns in the Toll Plant to the QA Toll Supervisor in a timely manner.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field (e.g., Meat Science, Biology, Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Food Technology, etc.).
Experience
At least 1 year of relevant experience in food manufacturing under Quality Assurance.
Skills
Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance.
Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent data collection and analysis skills
Strong attention to detail
Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Assurance Specialist
Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
