The Project Delivery Manager will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of on the ground project execution. In addition, this person will drive the site masterplan together with the PMO for Automation & Digitalization roadmap, electrical systems and controls and SHE-Q & capacity aligned with the Unilever design teams including end to end execution of site controls/ automation capital investment projects.
Manage the end-to-end delivery of capital engineering projects. May be dedicated to deliver a single project of significant size or a portfolio of smaller projects. Responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of projects including contractor management, site safety, installation & commissioning and on-site execution.
Develop automation & digital solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas.
Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
Ensures Engineering Design and Execution adheres to Unilever Standards on Safety and Quality.
Responsibilities
Working directly with the line crews on a daily basis, they also act as the technical trainer for line teams and provides coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis and the establishment of countermeasures.
Work with the factory team and Project Management Office (PMO) on layout principles, automation, business case proposals and future innovations to be included in the site deliverables.
Facilitate and work with Factory operations team to review current operational requirements/opportunity for improvement as an input to improve safety, quality and productivity.
Propose solution and improvement in case of design conflict and challenges, support in Design review and propose solution on issues raised
Prepare and work with functional team to build the URS and Specifications for development of procurement packages for supplier RFP and bidding.
Lead the team to prepare the project execution plan and project safety plan building required Unilever standards, including developing the work sequence and work schedule.
Participate in contractor selection process to ensure rightful fit of contractor to the project requirements
Participate and support for safety and mobilization phase of project to ensure proper training, policies and standards are adhered to by contractors selected.
Lead and monitor the execution according to agreed standards, plan and network.
Conduct site visits and audits to review safety, quality, and standards of project are complied with.
Support with the regular project engineering management and meeting for the workstream with relevant team members.
Facilitate, update and escalate issues encountered at the workstream for decision by the E2E project team and/or steercom.
Work with R&D and procurement for project MPT execution.
Support team on FAT, SAT and MPT for stability testing working with R&D, SU, SUIT, Quality etc.
Lead the execution of the Ramp-up plans to deliver the required targets per Project Execution Plan (PEP)
Complete asset-tagging, Fixed Asset maintenance process, Asset Capitalization and coordinate the Fixed Asset Audit of Project
Complete the project close-out and prepare project completion document for final hand-over.
Participates in establishing company-wide best practices and standards for both mechanical & electrical engineering and controls and automation and is responsible for ensuring compliance at local site. Support in the development of the plant masterplan for mechanical and electrical systems and controls and automation.
On Time In Full (OTIF) end to end delivery of assigned capital projects (typical value €0.05m) adhering to Unilever standards and ensuring safety as our number 1 priority.
Experiences & Qualifications
Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree
Have a hands-on technical ability in manufacturing, with a recognized engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. They must be able to display strong control capability.
Minimum of 8 years of Project Engineering in FMCG/ related Industry or engineering consultancy environment
Mastered all required activities, skills and –experience of the software and automation on advanced level.
Good knowledge and experience in maintenance engineering, cost control, supply and inventory management work processes.
Backup asset master data expert and –owner.
Project Management experience with mechanical and electrical / controls and automation systems.
Have demonstrated understanding of networks and ability to re-organize task across the entire deliver process and advise accordingly.
Be able to understand job requirements and advise on appropriate resources to complete the work.
Demonstrated project management and cost control
Willing to be based in General Trias, Cavite with regular on-site work
