Business Finance Senior Analyst (India Manufacturing)
Business Finance Senior Analyst primary responsibility is to ensure that manufacturing operations are financially efficient, cost effective and aligned with the companys financial goals and objectives. He/She will be responsible for managing financial data related to manufacturing operations and analyzing the same. He/She will work closely to country finance business partners and the plant and/or manufacturing teams to provide insights, forecasts, recommendations (if necessary) to optimize cost controls. This role is important in driving profitability and efficiency in the manufacturing operations.
A Business Finance Senior Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring that manufacturing operations are financially sustainable and aligned with the companys overall financial objectives. They contribute to the success of the organization by providing valuable insights that drive informed decision-making in the manufacturing department.
What will you do?
- Conduct regular financial analysis of manufacturing operations, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Assist in the preparation of manufacturing budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide explanations for variances.
- Evaluate and provide financial analysis for capital expenditure proposals related to manufacturing, ensuring that investments align with strategic goals and provide a positive return on investment.
- Prepare regular financial reports and dashboards for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial insights related to manufacturing operations.
- Process and Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with other partners to standardize activities or processes across all plants (EA and India territory). Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide decision support as needed for special projects or initiatives
Who would be successful?
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) may be preferred.
- Previous experience in finance, accounting, or a related role within a manufacturing environment is required.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, such as MS Excel, MS Access, Power query, ERP systems, SAP, Oracle and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and terminology.
- Understanding of cost accounting principles and techniques.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Preferred but not required: Understands how the calculations are made for product costs, including direct and indirect costs, to support pricing decisions and profitability analysis.
