You are responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight across 2GO's Contract Logistics business. You will ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of all Cross-Dock Operations, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, profitability, and sustainable business growth.

As a key member of the leadership team, you are accountable for optimizing operational performance, developing high-performing teams, strengthening client relationships, and supporting business expansion through innovative and customer-centric logistics solutions.

What You’ll Do

Operational Leadership and Performance Management

  • Lead and oversee all Contract Logistics operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective execution of cross-dock operations.
  • Drive operational excellence by ensuring the achievement of cost, quality, productivity, service level, and profitability targets.
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously improve operational KPIs, service metrics, and profitability analyses across all sites.
  • Ensure effective communication and alignment among leaders, employees, subcontractors, and key stakeholders regarding operational objectives and expectations.
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements, operational efficiencies, and best practices to enhance overall business performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact logistics operations.
  • Includes transport management for the hub in coordination with transport team.

Financial and Commercial Management

  • Review and analyze Profit and Loss (P&L) performance across all operational sites and implement initiatives to improve financial results.
  • Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers, service providers, and transport carriers to secure competitive rates and maximize value.
  • Review and validate transport carrier invoices, resolving discrepancies prior to endorsement for payment processing.

Customer and Business Development Support

  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Solutions Design teams in developing and converting new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Obtain and analyze customer feedback, coordinate corrective actions, and drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to develop strategic solutions aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key clients and ensure resolution of service gaps or performance issues.

People Leadership and Organizational Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team across multiple sites and functions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Address employee relations matters and workforce concerns in accordance with company policies, labor regulations, and organizational values.
  • Ensure all operational personnel receive required training and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.

Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management

  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, operational procedures, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of warehouse management, transportation safety, and operational controls.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure direct reports consistently adhere to safety rules, regulations, instructions, and preventive measures to maintain a safe working environment.

You’ll thrive in this role if you

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or any related discipline.
  • Postgraduate degree (MBA, Master's Degree, or equivalent) is an advantage.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Contract Logistics Operations, covering Warehousing, Cross-Dock, Transportation, and Distribution.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-site logistics operations with full P&L accountability.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and managing key customer relationships within the logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational transformation, productivity improvements, and business growth initiatives.

  • Expertise in process improvement, productivity enhancement, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong project and change management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics technologies and systems, including:
    • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
    • Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint preferred)
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), and risk management practices within logistics operations.
Crossdock KPIs

  • OTD – achieve 99% On Time Delivery
  • POD – achiever 99% Proof of Delivery return to Principal
  • RUD – achieve 0.50% of RUD (Total RUD in cases / Total dispatch in cases)
  • L&D – claims should be less than 1% of Revenue
  • Dispatch – all trucks must be dispatch 5am of the RDD (request delivery date)
  • Billing – achieve 2 days SLA transmittal to 2GO Logistics Finance
  • RUD stocks – return the stocks within lead time SLA with Principal
  • Target may vary
