Facilities Technician

Job Description

Responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of facilities equipment and ensure continuous supply of utilities to production operation. Repair, maintain and assist in solving problems in the plant.

Responsibilities

Water Operations Facilities Assistant

• Responsible for tending, operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Plant, Reverse Osmosis/ Deionized Water System, Domestic Water System, Sewage Treatment Plant, Air Fume Scrubber and Fire Protection System.
• Helps shift engineer in the operation and maintenance of HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) System, NVCA (Nitrogen, Vacuum & Compressed Dry Air) System, PWS (Power System) and all Auxiliary equipment for the uninterrupted supply of these utilities to the entire plant particularly production operation, general offices, and all other support areas.
• Perform immediate response to production calls with regards to facilities problem.
• Implement continuous improvement activities, cost saving and energy conservation measures.
• Maintain clean, orderly and safe facilities working area as well as facilities equipment.
• Monitor and gather data of all equipment under our responsibility and keep for record purposes.
  
  

Qualifications

Education

• Technical/Vocational Courses or some Engineering related courses
  
  

Experience

• At least 2 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related industry.
  
  

Skills

• Knowledge on the operation, control, maintenance, and repair of pumps, electric motors, fans, blowers, electrical and power panels, air-conditioning equipment (centralized, packaged & unitary units).
• Knowledge and exposure on the fundamentals of semiconductor manufacturing processes plus understanding of OSHA, Safety and other regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
• Knowledge of Wastewater Treatment and Reverse Osmosis DI water.
• Basic understanding safety engineering requirements for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and physical hazards.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, motor control, pumps, air conditioning and electronics.
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer usage skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Skilled in developing simple mechanical designs and executing machining and fabrication of facilities equipment parts.
