Commercial Finance Manager JandF

Position Overview

The Commercial Finance Manager is a strategic business partner to the Commercial organization, driving value through deep financial insights, robust analytics, and proactive decision support. This role translates business performance into clear, actionable recommendations and enables leadership to make informed, value-accretive decisions.

Responsibilities

Own the total P&L monthly IBP forecast and Annual Budget consolidation, ensuring alignment of financial outlook, profitability expectations, and business commitments based on inputs from Commercial and Supply Chain teams 
• Act as the finance business partner to the General Manager, Sales, Marketing, and Channel teams by providing financial insights, constructive challenge, and decision support to drive profitable growth and business performance 
• Partner with Commercial teams to review, validate, and translate business assumptions into financial outlooks and business plans, including volume, mix, pricing, discounts, Advertising, Consumer & Trade Promotion (AC&T) investments, customer and channel strategies, and New Product Development (NPD) initiatives 
• Lead financial management of Discounts and AC&T investments, including forecasting, spend optimization, ROI evaluation, performance tracking, and post-investment analysis to maximize returns on commercial investments 
• Partner closely with Commercial teams to design customer hierarchy and profitability frameworks, including customer-, channel-, and product-level profitability reporting and analysis, to support stronger commercial decision-making and resource allocation 
• Design and maintain the allocation methodology of Discounts and AC&T expenses to product level, ensuring accurate product profitability and margin visibility 
• Coordinate closely with Supply Chain Finance to align cost outlook, inflation, productivity, SPARK initiatives, absorption, and operational risks and opportunities into forecast and business planning cycles 
• Partner closely with the General Manager and leadership team to develop monthly business performance narratives and executive commentary, consolidating inputs fromSupply Chain Finance and Finance Lead – Governance & Business Control into one aligned business story, key drivers, risks, opportunities, and actions 
• Develop executive-ready business insights, scenario modeling, and financial recommendations to support leadership decision-making 
• Represent Finance in IBU Conference, Demand Review, Integrated Reconciliation (IR), and Commercial business reviews by providing financial insights on demand, pricing, profitability, and commercial performance to support business decisions

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting accountancy
  
• Must be a CPA
• Masters Degree is an advantage
  

Experience

At least 8 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably in FMCG or consumer business 

Skills

• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of pricing, sales, and channel dynamics
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong presentation and storytelling capability 
• Confident stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with deep-dive analysis
