Responsibilities

Octave is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale software implementations within our Public Safety division. This individual would be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project implementation, customer relationship, and Reference ability.

  • Serve as primary Hexagon representative to customer partners
  • Effectively managing projects to deliver on time, on cost and according to client quality expectations
  • Development of project plans, including scope, budget, deliverables, schedule and project team responsibilities in order to accomplish project objectives
  • Coordinating work and providing instructions, advice, leadership and guidance to a diverse group of team members
  • Reviewing work in progress and assessing completed work for accuracy, required results and desired quality
  • Ensuring timely and accurate communication between project team members, management and customers
  • Facilitating the resolution of issues and escalations
  • Participation in project scoping activities, including producing and/or validating LOEs and SOWs
  • Preparing customer-facing and internal status and financial reporting

Education / Qualifications

  • A bachelors degree, or commensurate, documented experience in a role with similar responsibilities
  • PMI PMP or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience implementing large software implementations
  • Prior experience with managing complex technical projects and programs – preferably in Public Safety
  • Strong written and oral communication and critical thinking skills
  • Intermediate to senior level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project proficiency
  • A self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented mindset
  • An eager, passionate, and professional owner of all aspects of the project management craft
  • An open-minded, embracer of diversity of thought and cultivating PMO team-culture
