Ensure compliance with internal quality management systems and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001, customer-specific requirements).
Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, control plans, and inspection criteria across wafer fabrication, assembly, and test processes.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCA, CAPA) for internal defects, customer complaints, and audit findings using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics such as yield, defect density, DPPM, scrap, and rework; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support new product introduction (NPI), process qualification, and change management activities (ECN/MCO) to ensure quality readiness.
Conduct process audits, product audits, and line walks to verify adherence to procedures and identify improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supplier Quality, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and improve process capability (Cp/Cpk).
Review and approve quality documentation including work instructions, SOPs, FMEA, Control Plan, and inspection records.
Manage nonconforming material report (NCR) through MRB disposition, risk assessment, and containment actions.
Support customer audits, quality reviews, and technical discussions; prepare reports and responses to customer inquiries.
Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and defect prevention initiatives to reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ).
Ensure compliance with ESD, contamination control, cleanroom protocols, and reliability requirements.
Provide quality training and coaching to production and support teams to strengthen quality awareness and discipline.
Participate in reliability testing, failure analysis (FA), and qualification reviews to ensure product robustness.
Maintain accurate quality records and ensure data integrity for traceability and audit readiness.
Education & Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Atleast 5 yrs experience in semiconductor industry
