Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Production Scheduling
The position is primarily responsible for planning and preparation of production schedules and ensures that products are made efficiently and timely to meet shipment requirements and production forecast.  The Production Planner checks for planning errors and recommends corrective action and develops new programs to improve the production control systems.


Material and Inventory Management
Manages inventory of raw materials and finished products.  Ability to determine requirements for the supply of raw materials and ensures proper planning for raw material mix to maximize production output and minimize work-in-process inventory. Properly allocates work-in-process into different product lines to serve commitments and build inventories for sales forecast.
 

Product and Process Information
Coordinates with production and engineering groups on priorities for process identification.  Monitors product and process information (cycle time, bottlenecks, downtime, process material input, production output and yield) used in material and capacity planning and drives resolutions from the responsible department.
 

Education & Experience

  • Graduate of Engineering or its equivalent in experience
    At least (3) years Production Planning responsibility; Adept in Material Inventory and Cost Inventory monitoring; Should have capability to interface with different levels of the organization; Experience in ERP/MRP preferably with Oracle; Experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) a plus

  • General understanding of the manufacturing business processes in a semiconductor or electronics industry.
  • Efficiently prepares and effectively delivers presentations to employee groups, peers, management, and executive management.
    Analysis of information at micro level and relates an impact understanding at the macro level.
  • Strong computer/software skills:  MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and Production reporting software. Power BI a plus.
  • Must have ability to work effectively across different cultures.
  • Must communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must clearly communicate information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups.
