Senior Staff Engineer IT Security

Job description:

• Handling of security software and infrastructure (firewalls, anti-malware systems, Security Monitoring).
• Hardening and securing at scale of Linux and UNIX devices.
• Incident Response - reporting and resolution of security incidents in the corporate enterprise network.

• Degree in IT preferred, degree in Information Security a plus. Open to lateral entrant with significant experience and skills.
• 2 - 5 years professional IT experience with security relevance expected.
• Strong IT security skills founded in broad basic IT knowledge about networks, Operating Systems, design and architecture and overall security safeguards.
• Knowledge of common security systems (firewalling, XDR/EDR, SIEM), broad basis of general IT skills, ideally some programming / scripting skills such as Powershell, bash or Python.
• Analytical skills required to drill deep in security challenge.
• Team players absolutely required - candidate must integrate with the local Malaysia team and play together with the rest of the team internationally.
• Must be able to function well in an international team with members from Europe and Asia.
• Strong English language is required.
