COC Product Engineer

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• supports new product introduction or transfer to high volume manufacturing production until the product end-of-life
• provides technical ownership of assigned product during manufacturing and qualification
• collaborates with design organization, production, quality, supply chain, process and equipment engineering teams
• reviews, generates or releases engineering documentations (BOMs, drawings, specifications, work instructions)
• drives product improvements for yield, reliability, cost and cycle time reduction
• leads root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions for product issues
• supports product qualification, validation, and on-going reliability requirements
• manages engineering change requests (ECR/ECO) and ensure proper implementation
• supports customer technical inquiries and failure analysis when required
• ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
  
  

Education & Experience

• A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, etc) or related disciplines such as Bachelor of Science in Physics or Chemistry, preferably with Masters Degree
• At least 3-5 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or related role from Semiconductor or Electronics / Opto-electronics and Fiber Optics Industry
  
  

Skills

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management
• Ability to read and interpret product drawings and specifications
• Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
• Experience in new product introduction - product and technology transfer and deployment. Defines yield roadmap and drive the fulfillment during ramp-up and high-volume production
• With knowledge on statistical methodologies and tools. Working knowledge of SAS JMP or Minitab is a strong plus
• Familiarity with quality systems (ISO, Six Sigma, SPC)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills , data driven decision making mindset
• Experienced on product cost roadmap and cost reduction activities through alternative material qualifications and process improvements
• Experience on product testing or must have basic understanding of simple electrical circuit testing
• Adept in business processes like Engineering Change Review and Orders, Temporary Deviations, Product Qualification Reviews, and other related business processes
• With knowledge of basic product reliability principles. Experience on reliability testing and would be able to identify proper reliability requirements for a specific product’s qualification needs
• possess good understanding of database, coding experience is plus
• Excellent team and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership ability and potential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• This role is 100% onsite and will spend time in a cleanroom and office environment.
