Overview of the Role

The Senior Financial Planning Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting financial planners by managing complex administrative tasks and assisting in the preparation of detailed financial reports and client documentation. This role demands a high level of accuracy, organization, and communication to ensure seamless workflow within the financial planning team.

Main duties include:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of detailed financial plans and reports.
  • Manage client files, ensuring data accuracy and completeness within the financial planning software.
  • Prepare product comparisons, quotations, and application forms for clients.
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings, manage appointments, and handle travel arrangements.
  • Collaborate with advisers and paraplanners to support compliance and quality assurance.
  • Follow up on applications, insurance underwriting, and other client requests to ensure timely processing.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client and internal interactions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior financial planning assistants.
  • Contribute to process improvements and workflow optimizations within the team.
  • Graduate of any relevant course with a strong background in financial services or administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a financial planning assistant or related role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning software (e.g., XPLAN preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Reliable internet connection with minimum 15 Mbps speed.
  • Residence within key operational locations such as Cebu or Cagayan de Oro is preferred.
