Ensures that all incoming materials received by the factory are promptly and properly examined in accordance with the approved and updated standards. Ensures that Finished Goods are evaluated for release in compliance to Product Specifications. Will be doing end to end and needs to be open to be assigned to other departments within NQAC such as admin, tagging, testing, reporting etc.
Competent in conducting laboratory analysis (physical, chemical and/or microbiological testing) Familiar with Laboratory Safety and Good Laboratory Practices Registered Chemist
Other Tasks
Performs examinations on vitamins, minerals, contaminants and other special examinations.
Strictly implements written standard procedures and work instructions in performing analytical tests, from the preparation and standardization of reagents, calculation of data, evaluation of results, reporting & inputting of results.
Assures and evaluates accuracy and precision of analytical results.
Prepares and maintains complete and updated records of examinations including submission of analytical results within a specified period.
Recognizes and solves potential sources of errors in assigned task and reports situation when quality of work falls below the expected level.
Validates applicability of new analytical methods or procedures.
Prepares purchase requisitions and monitors supply of reagents and materials to ensure adequacy.
Uses good judgment as well as ingenuity in the performance of day-to-day assignment.
Assures that the calibration and maintenance of laboratory Instruments/equipment are done per schedule, and implement the required Internal Control Plan.
Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the instruments, as well as the whole laboratory, to ensure the validity in its operations.
Immediately works on and reports any deviations or problems on the performance of the instruments.
Assures safety in the operating the instruments and optimizes the uses of the expensive laboratory devices.
Responsible and takes precautions in handling toxic substances.
Assures safety of the whole laboratory in handling toxic analytes.
Ensures that Safety Regulations, Good Laboratory Practices, & ISO 17025 requirements are strictly followed in facilitating his responsibilities.
Participates in organizing & facilitating GLP audits, workshops & seminars for NPI Factories, as well as in Factory initiated activities (NCE, Social-Block, NIMS activities).
Abides by the company rules and regulations.
Performs any other jobs that may be assigned by superior from time to time.
