Job Summary
The primary job responsibilities of the position are to perform all prepress functions in a manner as to ensure
optimal print reproduction.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
File inception / preflighting / troubleshooting
Perform file and image manipulation to optimize print process while preserving original file content
Perform file trapping, assign line screens, screen angles, dot shapes
File RIP including inspection and QC
Ensure all CPs print specifications are met
Must be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, ESKO Automation Engine, Packedge, Plato
Complies with all general Company-wide standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and any job or department specific SOP’s.
SOP’s may cover the areas of (but are not limited to)
Employee Health and Safety
SQF (Safe Quality Food packager) and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured.
SGP (Sustainable Green Printer) environmental regulatory procedures and SOP’s
Must work within productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
Special Projects & other duties as necessary

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
3-5 years’ experience working as prepress operator
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail is essential.

Ability to work well in a team environment.
Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality of information to Company and Federal standards.
Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
