The principal role of MRM Supervisor is to oversee the daily operations of a Material Recovery Management (MRM), ensuring that the processes for sorting, receiving, recovering and processing exchange breads and other items are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental and companys regulations.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Develops and implements goals, objective, policies and procedures and modifies work standards, and directs the implementation of the revised standards.
Engages in strategic planning and development, aligns team objectives with organizational goals.
Deals with the practical day-to-day operations, ensures that the team meets deadlines and quality standards.
Creates a manpower schedule that aligns with the days activities and monitors the adherence of this schedule.
Focuses on short-term goals and immediate tasks to ensure that the work is done according to the managers directives.
Provides guidance and mentorship to immediate subordinates and participates in developing solutions for encountered issues.
Acts as the primary point of contact between the team and upper management, relays information and ensures smooth communication.
Requires good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Provides training on proper sorting techniques, safety procedures and distributions to ensure that staff can perform their duties effectively.
Maintains records of returns such as BO, unsold breads, and trade items, and reports the disposition, and movement of these returns.
Implements the most efficient traffic flows for all salespeople and truckers to avoid long queuing times.
Coordinates closely with authorized hailers to ensure daily pull out of exchange breads.
Prepares reports on material recovery rates, tonnage hauled, and overall department performance.
Maintains and updates record files (Google sheets) shared and required by other departments.
Monitors the quality of the sorted materials to minimize rejection, ensure that exchange for toasts meets the standards end users require.
Helps manage operational costs by optimizing the use of labor, equipment, and resources.
Ensures FIFO method in packaging bread for hauler is strictly followed by the Magsasako to avoid residual wastes.
Ensures a clean, safe and pest-free environment conducive for employees.
Promotes teamwork and helps team members to accomplish department goals and objectives.
Ensures the recyclable and non-recyclable waste is scheduled for hauling/pull out weekly.
Coordinates issues to Sales, Market Info, Logistics, Warehouse and other interfacing departments.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree graduate preferably BS Industrial Engineering or Safety Engineering
With at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing company
Knowledge in ISO 9001,GMP, SSOP, 5S, Food Safety, Halal, and HACCP is an advantage
