Materials Planning and Purchasing Associate

The Materials Planning and Purchasing Associate plays a critical role in ensuring continuous and efficient factory operations by managing the planning and purchasing of raw materials, including non-tobacco materials and leaf components.

This role is responsible for aligning material requirements with production needs, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and coordinating closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and high-quality materials.

This position is suited for professionals with experience in supply chain, planning, or procurement, who are highly detail-oriented and capable of managing both operational execution and coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Materials Planning and Purchasing Associate, you will

• Manage material planning by executing short-, mid-, and long-term planning activities based on production forecasts, inventory targets, and supplier lead times, while ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing shortages or waste.a
• Handle end-to-end purchasing operations by creating purchase orders, confirming supplier commitments, monitoring deliveries, and resolving issues related to delays, discrepancies, and invoice processing.
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders by working closely with Production Planning, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and suppliers to ensure smooth material flow and uninterrupted factory operations.
• Manage inventory and supplier performance by monitoring inventory turnover, identifying opportunities to reduce excess stock and write-offs, and addressing defective materials through supplier coordination and corrective actions.
• Maintain system accuracy and drive process improvements by ensuring proper master data management in SAP and continuously improving planning and purchasing processes for better efficiency and performance.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in planning, procurement, or supply chain, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing
• Experience in materials planning (MRP), purchasing, and inventory management
• Knowledge of SAP ERP (especially P2P module) and/or SAP APO systems
• Good command of English (written and verbal) for coordination with stakeholders
