Inbound Transport Planner

Toyota Motor Philippines is seeking an Inbound Transport Planner to join our Vehicle Logistics – Distribution Planning and Control Department located at the Toyota Batangas Vehicle Center in Batangas City, Philippines.

As a key member of the Transport Planning Team, the Inbound Transport Planner is responsible for the comprehensive planning of vehicles from importers to vehicle centers. This role ensures that vehicles are transported in a timely and effective manner, adhering to established lead times and supporting the efficiency of the overall logistics process.

Your Role And Responsibilities

• has strong communication and collaboration skills to ensure that logistics activities are streamlined and operate at maximum efficiency.
• actively monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and conducts thorough evaluations of Logistics Service Providers.
• responsible for consistently transforming logistics operations to ensure alignment with the promised Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) provided to customers.
• establish and propose risk management programs or system developments that support continuous process improvement elevating the performance of Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and ensuring they meet the required standards.
• scheduling of vehicle transfers and allocation to multiple logistics service providers through strategic scheduling and ensures the smooth and timely movement of vehicles across the supply chain.
• conducts simulations of shipments, trucks, and manpower requirements
• maintaining complete and accurate records of planning activities and delivery KPIs, including facilitating information sharing with dealers and regional teams
• conduct regular monitoring of logistics service provider performance to help ensure full compliance with Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) requirements and drive ongoing enhancements in service quality.
• works in close coordination with the Operations Control Team to optimize transportation processes.
  
  

• You are a graduate of Industrial or Management Engineering, Operations Management.
• You have achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas and are keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
• You are capable of identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions; using effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; taking action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.
• You are capable of setting up ongoing procedures to collect and review information needed to manage an organization or ongoing activities within it.
• You effectively manage your time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
• You can develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
  
  

• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a related field is expected.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (including Power BI).
• Skilled in data management and statistical analysis, supporting data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
• Adept at using technical software like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is an advantage.
• A tenacious team player.
