About The Job Ducting Fabricator

About the role:

Reporting to and taking direction from the Supervisor, the Ducting fabricator/installer is responsible for working within the team of employees to achieve minimum production time and maximum ducting quality.

Required Skills / Experience / Attributes

• Fabricate the ducting as per required size and shapes
• Perform basic fabrication such as cutting, welding, and installation of brackets, flanges, drilling and other non-critical second structures
• Install Fabricated ducting
• Rectify base or pipe supports if required
• Work with the team to achieve maximum productivity/efficiency
• Inspect work and ensure work meets the Austal standard
  
  

• Must have an experience in ducting fabrication
• At least 2 years of experience and passed the AP internal training
• Can interpret drawing
  
  

• Pass skills assessment for HVAC system
• Proficiency in mathematical calculation for ducting spools
• Capability to inspect defects and rectify
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and other requirements
• Can work with less supervision
