This Trade Marketing Officer is responsible for conceptualizing and operationalizing innovative and effective trade marketing activities across different channels and regions in the assigned district or regional business unit, in line with the overall corporate and SBU brand philosophy and strategies. This position also liaises between Brand & Channels Marketing and Store Operations teams to ensure excellence and consistency in execution of all marketing initiatives.
Local Store Marketing
BRAND-BUILDING INITIATIVES
Merchandising Management: Develops, identifies and implements up-to-date and relevant merchandising materials in the assigned retail trade areas (RTA) that are aligned with corporate and SBU brand philosophy
Community Relations Management: Taps relevant and influential individuals or groups to address brand and RTA-specific business objectives
BUSINESS-DRIVING INITIATIVES
RTA Strategies Recommendation: Analyzes and monitors financial performance metrics of assigned District/RBU. Initiates and confers with Brand Marketing and Store Operations in recommending strategic marketing and local store marketing activities, resulting to achievement of business objectives.
Sales Promotion Management: Supports and collaborates with store operations in the planning and execution of appropriate promotion tools to motivate and intensify consumer response and drive sales.
Local Store Marketing (LSM) Management: Supports and collaborates with store operations in the planning and execution of local store promotional activities while ensuring that desired product benefits and brand equity are properly communicated.
Planogram Management: implements up-to-date planograms to maximize sales of bestsellers, new products and campaign featured products.
Critical Store Management
Sales Performance Management & Action Planning: Conducts monthly district reviews to analyze factors affecting sales. Recommends strategic programs as well as recommend new ways to achieve sales growth.
Marketing Tools Management: Communicates and trains store teams on local marketing basics and tactical concepts including but not limited to marketing program development and evaluation.
Operations Support: Actively participates during Marketing-Operations Meetings (MOM), Core Team Meetings (CTM) and district sales rallies.
Trade Area Insighting
Store and Trade Visits: Gathers and ensures that local feedback is taken into consideration thru regular trade and store visits.
Competitive Check: Drives timely and quality competitive checks and benchmarking activities. Reports the results and recommends appropriate strategies and action plans.
Consumer Insighting: Establishes relevant shoppers’ behavior and recommends action steps, if necessary.
Brand Activation / Campaign Amplification
Drives the design and development of experiential programs within the retail trade area of the assigned district/RBU to drive brand awareness and build Red Ribbon brand image.
Monitors, supervises and checks the effectiveness of activation program deployment including but not limited to planning, implementation and communication.
Collaborates with Brand Team, Store Operations Team, Commissary and 3rd Party Contractors in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activation programs.
Organization Effectiveness
Fulfills organization-related deliverables pertaining to PMS, IDP, JCA, and participation in other HR- or Division-initiated org effectiveness programs.
Effective Performance of assigned Megabrand responsibility
Job Qualifications
Must be a graduate of Marketing, Management or other relevant courses.
Must have at least 2 years of experience in Trade or Retail Marketing.
Must have strong stakeholder management experience and is expected to be able to create and develop new programs and recommend improvements to current systems, processes and programs to achieve target business objective
Must be willing to travel and do frequent field work in North Luzon and South Luzon (except Rizal) areas.
Must be willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig City on a hybrid working set-up (2 days onsite per week)
