About The Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented HubSpot Data Expert to take ownership of the integrity, structure, and long-term sustainability of our CRM data. With approximately 15,000 customer records, this role is critical in ensuring our HubSpot environment remains accurate, organised, and futureproof as we continue to grow.

This position requires strong analytical skills, CRM proficiency (specifically HubSpot), and a passion for creating clean, reliable data systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Organisation & Categorisation
  • Sort and map all customer records into appropriate sectors and subsectors.
  • Develop and manage a clear, consistent taxonomy for all customer types and industries.
  • Work with internal teams to align on categorisation rules and ensure consistent application
  • Mandatory Field Creation & Data Structuring
  • Identify gaps in current data fields and create new mandatory fields to improve data completeness and reporting accuracy.
  • Standardise field formats (e.g., dropdowns, multi-selects, lifecycle stages) to ensure consistency across the CRM.
  • Optimise HubSpot properties to support better segmentation, workflows, and automation.
  • Data Enrichment
  • Add missing company domains, contact details, and key data points across all relevant records.
  • Implement scalable strategies for ongoing data enrichment, including third-party tools where applicable.
  • Duplicate Management
  • Audit and clean the CRM by identifying, merging, and removing duplicate records across contacts, companies, and deals.
  • Establish processes and validation rules to prevent future data duplication.
  • Data Governance & Quality Control
  • Develop and enforce data hygiene standards and naming conventions across HubSpot.
  • Maintain high data accuracy through ongoing monitoring, audits, and clean-up activities.
  • Ensure the CRM is fully compliant with GDPR and internal data-handling policies.
  • Futureproofing HubSpot
  • Build a scalable, easy-to-maintain CRM structure that supports organisational growth.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to workflows, automations, and integrations.
  • Train internal teams on best practices for data entry, usage, and maintenance.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience working with HubSpot CRM (data management focus essential).
  • Strong analytical and data-cleaning skills, ideally with 10K+ record datasets.
  • Experience with CRM data structures, taxonomy creation, and field mapping.
  • Familiarity with deduplication tools, HubSpot data quality features, and enrichment solutions.
  • High attention to detail and a passion for organised, accurate information.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with HubSpot Operations Hub or data automation tools
  • Understanding of industry classification systems (SIC codes, NAICS, etc.)
  • Reporting and dashboard creation skills
  • Experience collaborating with sales, marketing, and customer success teams
