Job Description

Business Development Specialist – build and run our outbound system for global grocery/distributor outreach (starting with our brand), then keep it running day-to-day.

This is not a basic VA role and not a sales closer. We will stay involved commercially; the hire owns the system + execution.

What They Do

Build the system (we will support and direct):

• Utilise systems such as Clay or similar as the main lead research/enrichment workflow tool.
• Push clean contacts into HubSpot (our CRM / source of truth)
• Load and run sequences in an Instantly-class cold email tool on secondary domains (not our main company email)
• Simple SOPs, tracking, and a weekly progress update to me
  

Run Outreach Ongoing

• Research and vet the right companies and buyers.
• Build and quality-check the contact database.
• Enrol verified, vetted contacts into email sequences.
• Handle first-line replies (from a playbook).
• Escalate meetings, pricing, samples, and commercial questions to the General Manager.
• Keep follow-up/review dates organised so nothing goes cold
  

Tools

• Clay (or similar), HubSpot, Instantly (or similar), Microsoft 365 / SharePoint for decks and assets.
  

Requirments

Who We’re Looking For

• Strong written & spoken English
• Outbound/lead gen experience (Clay ideal; HubSpot and/or Instantly/Smartlead a big plus)
• Comfortable building workflows, not only following a script
• Careful and detail-oriented (right person/company over raw volume)
• Happy to learn our process with us in the first weeks.
• Happy to report weekly.
