Your Role

As An AU Tile Estimator, You Are Responsible For

• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Measure and estimate quantities for floor and wall tiling, waterproofing, screeding, and related works.
• Prepare material lists for tiles, adhesives, grout, trims, and other tiling products.
• Request and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Submit RFIs when additional project information is required.
• Ensure all project requirements are included in estimates.
• Prepare and compile tender pricing and supporting documentation.
• Identify any discrepancies or missing information in project documents.
• Present estimates to management for review and approval.
• Submit tenders within required deadlines.
• Maintain pricing records and estimating databases.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
  
  

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of estimating experience in the Australian or local construction, tiling, flooring, or fit-out industry
• Experience preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates for tiling projects.
• Experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Understanding of tile installation, waterproofing, screeding, and floor preparation works.
• Ability to accurately calculate material, labour, and project costs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with Australian builders or commercial contractors is an advantage.
